Truman, Camilla (7 SEP 1936)

A wedding of interest to their many Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) friends was solemnized Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Zion Lutheran Parsonage at Stratford when Miss Camilla Truman, Chicago, became the bride of Theodore Garbisch, Antigo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewaine Reed, Stratford. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T.E. Diemer and Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Nelson, friends of the bridegroom, attended the couple.

The bride wore a blue taffeta afternoon jacket ensemble, a blue turban with nose veil, gloves and other accessories to match. Mrs. Nelson was attired in an afternoon frock of green crepe with a rust colored hat.

A six o’clock dinner was served at the home of the groom’s parents for members of the immediate families. The wedding cake centered the table with which covers were laid for thirteen guests. The rooms were decorated with orchid, white and yellow steamers and bouquets of gladioli, snapdragons and asters. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Garbisch, Milwaukee were out of town guests.

The couple will be at home to their friends immediately in their apartment on Fifth St., Antigo, where the groom has been employed in the Montgomery Ward Store since June of this year. The bridegroom, who is a graduate of the Stratford High School in 1927, was employed as post office clerk at Dorchester for nine years. The bride, previous to being employed this summer at Chicago, spent a year in Dorchester, Wis.

Both bride and groom are well known here and their friends join us in offering them best wishes for a happy and successful future.
