Toltzman, Albert G. (15 May 1892 - 13 Sept. 1974)

Spencer, Wis. - Services have been set for 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church here for Albert G. Toltzman, 82, of 208 Dearborn St., Spencer, who died Friday at the Marshfield Convalescent Center.

Officiating at Monday’s service will be the Rev. William H. Ruhbusch, pastor, and burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Rux Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Mr. Toltzman was born May 15, 1892, in the town of Unity, Clark County, and received his education in the public and parochial schools. He was married May 1, 1918, at Trinity Lutheran Church to the former Leona Marie Siebarth, who survives him. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1968.

Mr. and Mrs. Toltzman farmed in the town of Unity until 1957, when they retired and moved to Spencer.

Prior to his marriage Mr. Toltzman worked in northern lumber camps, on the Soo Line Railroad and in western harvest fields. A veteran of World War I, he served in the Infantry in 1918 in Argonne, France, and fought in one of the war’s major battles, the Meuse-Argonne.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Senior Citizen Club.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Fred A. Toltzman, Eau Claire; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Kieffer, Wausau, and Miss Gertrude Toltzman and Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Zuehlke, both of Chicago; a brother, Herman, Spencer; a sister, Ida Neumann, Spencer; and four grandchildren.

A brother preceded him in death.
