The obituary contains a couple
of mistakes, but I don't know if they are
transcription typos or if the mistakes were in the original newspaper. If
the mistakes were in the newspaper, then it is probably best to copy them
1. Fred's father's first name was "Ludwig" (on several documents), not
2. I'm wondering if the birth year is correct or if the age is correct.
The obituary says he was 34, but the dates calculate to 36. He was 14
when he immigrated in 1878 (implies birth year of 1864); but the 1880
census says he was 18 (implies the birth year was 1862).
