Carr, Ella (? - 18 Jan. 1885)

Miss Ella Carr, daughter of I. Carr, proprietor of the Republican and Press, of this city, died on Sunday, Jan. 18th. The Madison Democrat has the following in relation to the sad event:

"At the last session of the Wisconsin Legislature, Miss Ella E., daughter of Capt. I. T. Carr, of Jefferson, chief clerk of the assembly at that time, was one of the copying clerks of the last named body. She was beloved by all with whom she was acquainted. Soon after the session she was taken ill, and it was not long ere the physician announced that she had fallen a victim to consumption. She died Sunday, Jan. 18, and her remains will be taken to Monroe, Green County, for burial."
