Driscoll, Timothy (23 NOV 1884 - 13 AUG 1934)

Timothy D. Driscoll, residing on a farm southeast of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), died at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Chippewa Falls Monday afternoon, following an operation for internal injuries received in a ball game.

The game was being played Sunday afternoon at the Driscoll farm between the married and single men.

Mr. Driscoll was catcher for the married men and the accident occurred when a runner on third base tried to slide into home plate, the pitcher, catcher and runner colliding at the time.

Mr. Driscoll was born at Waverly, Iowa, Nov. 23, 1884. He was married to Nellie Eglseder Sept. 1, 1914. The family came to Owen in 1920 and settled on a farm.

Deceased is survived by his wife and six children, Cornelius, Dorothy, Margaret, Harold, Eleanore and Isabel, also seven sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were held at the Holy Rosary Church this morning and interment was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral were John Driscoll and Mrs. John Whalen, Ada, Minn.; Miss Isabel Driscoll, Cincinnati; Mr. and Mrs. William Martin, Nashua, Ia.; Joseph and Emmett Driscoll, Plainfield, Ia.; Morris, Leo and Bernard Harrington, Plainfield, Ia.; Mrs. William Henning, Waverly, Ia.; Mrs. Helen Kluczny, Wadena, Minn.; Mrs. Kate Hoffman, son and daughter, Rosholt, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. William Eglseder, Cumberland; Mrs. George Bernier and daughter, May, of Ashland.
