Van Dreel, Loretta (Marraiage - 24 Oct. 1933)

A very pretty wedding took place at the St. Mary’s Catholic church Tuesday morning at eight o’clock, Rev. L. J. Lang reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Loretta Van Dreel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Van Dreel of the town of Frankfort, became the bride of Mr. Robert Amacher, son of John Amacher of Stetsonville. They were attended by Miss Roselin Van Dreel and Lawrence Van Dreel, cousin and brother of the bride.

The bride was attired in a beautiful brown crepe dress, brown hat with accessories to match. Both wore shoulder bouquets of pink rose buds and baby asters.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents where dinner and supper were served to immediate relatives. Covers were laid for thirty. The rooms were nicely decorated with streamers in burnt orange and yellow and autumn foliage. In the evening a wedding dance was given at Cherokee hall which was largely attended by friends and relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Amacher will make their home on the Amacher farm at Stetsonville.

We have just found long lost relatives!!! Anton Van Dreel was my mother's unclemy great-uncle.. I live in Wausau Wisconsin now but my grandmother in Little Chute was Anton's sister. My mother just passed away. She never mentioned her uncle near Wausau. We wonder how well she even knew him. We just visited the gravesite in Milan. We see that Lawrence is buried there too. We wonder how he died at the young age of 56. Did he ever marry?
