Kraut, Joseph (2 Aug. 1879 - 30 Mar. 1934)

Joseph Kraut died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Joseph Kraus, Sr., at Curtiss Friday at the age of fifty-four, pneumonia being the cause of his death. He had been ill several months and recently returned from the general hospital at Madison. Funeral services were held at Curtiss on Monday afternoon, Rev. H. K. Hartmann officiating, and internment was made in the Green Grove cemetery.

The deceased was born in Austria on August 2, 1879, and had been a resident of Curtiss for four years. He married Mary Radlinger at Marshfield in 1907. He is survived by his mother, two daughters and two sons - Violetta of Marshfield, Mrs. Evelyn Clark of St. Paul, James of Owen and Clifford of St. Paul. Also the following brothers and sisters: Frank and Arthur of Curtiss, Leo of Longwood, Mrs. Albert Klessig and Miss Bertha Kraut of Curtiss, Wis. Mrs. Kraut died five years ago.
