Lynn, Marsha J. (Marriage - 20 Oct. 1973)

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spencer, was the site of the marriage of Miss Martha J. Lynn and William M. Martens.

At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Lynn, 203 W. Buse St., Spencer, was escorted into church by her father to exchange promises with the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Martens, route 1, Loyal. The Rev. David Ault officiated while Miss Karen Zimmerman, organist, accompanied soloist Katie Hansen.

The bridal gown was of sata peau and cluny lace with a molded lace bodice and the train veil was secured to a bonnet of sata peau.

Miss Debbie Kilty, Edgar, was maid of honor, and Miss Linda Martens and Miss Kathy Martens were bridesmaids. Each carried a long-stemmed yellow rose and wore a formal of chiffon. The honor attendant was in willow green and the bridesmaids wore orange.

Glen Cole, Colby, was best man and groomsmen were Dale Lynn and Ronnie Wolfe. Ushering duties were performed by Mike Martens and Ronnie Lynn.

After a supper at the church, guests enjoyed a reception and dance at the Unity Memorial Hall.

The bride graduated from Colby, Wis. High School in 1972 and from North Central Technical Institute, Wausau, in 1973 with an associate degree as clerk typist. Her husband, a 1968 graduate of Loyal High School, is a truck driver.

Upon return from a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, the couple will reside in Unity.
