Oelrich, Frederick H. (7 Sept. 1887 - 20 Sept. 1978)

Spencer - Frederick H. Oelrich, 91, of Route 1, Spencer, died 12:30 this morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been admitted Aug. 23.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer with the Rev, William H. Ruhbusch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at Rux Funeral Home in Spencer.

Mr. Oelrich, son of Gustave and Amelia Oelrich, was born Sept. 7, 1887 in Spencer, attending schools there. On April 21, 1914 he married the former Emma Kaulfuerst in Milwaukee. She survives.

He worked for the Soo Line Railroad for 27 years, farmed in the Spencer area and had been sexton for West Spencer Cemetery for many years.

Mr. Oelrich was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides his wife are five sons, Raymond of Marshfield, Roy of Rhinelander, Albert of Spencer, Arthur of Route 1, Unity and Joseph of Montana; five daughters, Mrs. Carl (Esther) Schoolman of Spencer, Mrs. Harry (Beatrice) Macheichok of Rhinelander, Misses Edna and Frieda Oelrich, both of Spencer, and Mrs. Clarence (Alice) Johnson of Route 4, Marshfield; one brother, George of Spencer; 28 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by four sons, three brothers and two sisters.
