Clark, James A. (? - 20 NOV 1933)

James A. Clark, who has made his home with his sister at Stanley, was killed Monday evening while walking along Highway 29, between Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Stanley (Chippewa Co.), when a car driven by a Rice Lake man struck him. The motorist stopped after the crash and summoned help.

Clark had been visiting at Thorp during the day and was on his way home when the accident occurred.

Mr. Clark was well known in Owen, Wis. He worked for several years in the camps and at the sawmill of the John S. Owen Lumber Co. here. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Thomas Clark of this city.
