Brown, Frances #2 (1 JUL 1899)

Robert J. MacBride, Jr., and Miss Frances Brown were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mont. Brown, on Saturday, July 1st, 1899, at 3 p.m., Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating. The newly united pair took the 4:55 passenger amid showers of rice, old shoes and congratulations hurled at them by admiring friends. They went to Minneapolis for a short wedding tour, after which they will be at home to their friends in this city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.). The groom is a rising young lawyer, the junior member of the firm of MacBride, Clark & MacBride, and the bride a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mont. Brown. Both have grown from childhood in our city and have a host of friends upon whom they stole a neat little march, nevertheless the wishes for their prosperous and happy voyage on life’s tempestuous sea are non the less sincere and hearty.
