Dehne, Meta L. (Marriage - 2 Sept. 1934)

A charming wedding took place at St. John’s Reformed church at Holgate, Ohio, on Sunday morning, Sept. 2nd, the Rev. O. Stockmeier, uncle of the bride, performing the ceremony, when Miss Meta L. Dehne, daughter of Mrs. Wm. Dehne of Colby, became the bride of Mr. Harry Strade, son of Mrs. Augusta Strade, of Curtiss, Wisconsin. Miss Virginia Zachrich and Mr. Chester Snyder, friends of the bride, were the attendants. Miss Vera Rettig sang "Oh Promise Me" which was followed by Wagner’s bridal chorus, Miss Mildred Rettig presiding at the organ. The church was decorated with an abundance of cut flowers, grown in the garden at the manse.

The bride was very attractive in a white silk waffle cloth ensemble with brown accessories and carried a huge bouquet of white chrysanthemums and ferns. Miss Zachrich wore a rose silk dress with brown accessories and carried a bouquet of Joanna Hill roses. The groom wore the conventional blue while his attendant was in brown. Sunday afternoon the newlyweds left on a two weeks trip to eastern states.
