Loos, Flora Minnie Pauline (11 Nov. 1907 - 29 Nov. 1934)

Miss Flora Minnie Pauline Loos, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Loos of the town of Colby, died at the home of her parents last Thursday morning, November 29th, at 7:50, gangrene of the lung of seven years duration being the cause of her departure to the distant shore. Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 2nd, at 1:30 P.M. at the home and at 2:00 P.M. at the St. John’s Ev. church, Rev. E. Becker officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. The pall bearers were Alvin Voelker, Edwin Voelker, Roland Voelker, Sherman Loos and Ed. Feldt, all cousins of the deceased. The flower girls were Mary Steinwand, Kathryn Lamont, Nellie Schorer, Lorraine Kessler, Mildred Vanderhoof and Kathryn Frane.

The deceased was born in the town of Colby on Nov. 11, 1907, thus reaching the age of twenty-seven years and eighteen days. Besides her parents, her early death is mourned by one brother and three sisters, namely: Mrs. Lilah Lueloff of Fond du Lac, Mr. Walter Loos of Colby, Mrs. Elionora Williams of Colby and Mrs. Irma Fischer of Marshfield.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral were Mrs. Elg Lueloff and daughter, Mrs. James McCullough of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Mueller and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Felker of Peshtigo, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Vogt of Wauwatosa, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Stoelting, Mrs. Ida Loos, Mr. Theo. Voigt and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Feldt and son of Kiel, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Voelker of Chili, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Voelker and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Fischer of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Voelker and Mr. Edwin Voelker of Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Voelker of Abbotsford, Wis. Out of town friends here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walner, Miss Mildred Panther, Miss Helen Eckes and Mr. and Mrs. G. Wengel of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Augustine of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Steltenpohl, of Chili, Mrs. Robert Riemer of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schorer and Miss Nellie Schorer of Abbotsford, Wis.

The deceased was a kind and loving daughter and true friend and her devotion to the family circle had no limit. Her retiring nature led her to hide her best qualities from public gaze but were revealed to those who knew her well and while it is sad, indeed, to see one so well equipped for life to be taken so young, yet for her there was no standing on the border-land for death came to her with the awakening life of a new day surely a most fitting time for a pure spirit to take its flight heavenward.
