Holtzhausen, Ethel (Marriage - 24 June 1935)

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Holtzhausen announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Ethel, to Mr. Spencer Wallace, son of Mr. George Wallace of Waukesha, at a ceremony performed at high noon Monday at the First Presbyterian church at Stevens Point, Rev. Claud R. Shaver reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Irma Holtzhausen of Nashville, Tenn., sister of the bride, and Irvin Wallace of Madison, brother of the groom, were the attendants. A luncheon for the immediate family followed the ceremony at the Whiting Hotel of Stevens Point.

The bride is a graduate of Colby, Wis. High school and of Milwaukee State Teachers’ College, and, for the past three years, has been principal of the Colby graded school. The groom is a graduate of the Racine high school and of Carroll College of Waukesha and is English teacher and band director of the Colby, Wis. High school.

The newlyweds will make a wedding trip to the southern part of the state and Chicago.
