Strugala, Thomas (24 FEB 1861 - 18 FEB 1938)

Thomas Strugala, until several years ago a resident farmer of the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), died at his home in Polley of pneumonia on Friday last. He had reached the age of seventy-six years.

Thomas Strugala was born in Poland on Feb. 24th, 1861 and came to America in the year 1880. He was united in marriage on Nov. 2, 1887, at Detroit, Mich., later moving to Joliet, Ill., and in 1899 came to Thorp, where he became employed on the railroad section and also engaged in farming. He is survived by two sons, John of Wausau and Joe of Polley, three daughters, Mrs. Thos. (Jennie) Slupski, Thorp, Mrs. Wm. (Victoria) Janigo, Pulaski, and Mrs. Delbert Burss, Thorp.

Funeral service were held at St. Peter and Paul Church at Gilman, Monday morning at ten o’clock, Rev. W. Kolman officiating, and interment took place in the Meadowbrook Cemetery there. Pallbearers were: John Kowalczk, George and Florian Chaplinski, Alex Korenuk, John Grobowski and Thomas Kornesczuk.
