Loibl, Rose C. (February 22, 1909 - August 11, 2007)

Rose C. Loibl, age 98, longtime Town of Wilson resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the Augusta Area Nursing Home, Augusta, WI.

A Christian Burial Mass was held on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley, WI with Fr. Robert Nelson officiating. Burial followed in the St. Peter’s Cemetery, Town of Wilson. Friends and family called Tuesday evening from 4-7 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Chapel with a 6:45 Rosary being recited. Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.

Rose was born February 22, 1909 in Dyer, IN, the daughter of Nickolaus & Catherine (Moeller) Schmitt. She was united in marriage to Matthew Peter Loibl on November 11, 1930 at St. Peter’s Church in Wilson and lived and farmed in the Town of Wilson until moving to Boyd in 1982 upon their retirement.

Rose is survived by three sons: Edward (Petronella) Loibl of Boyd, WI, Victor (Corrine) Loibl of Weyauwega, WI, and Richard (Sylvia) Loibl of New Auburn, WI; three daughters: Beatrice (Rex) Krueger of Chetek, WI, Lillian Brandvold of Boyd, WI and Marlene (Dennis) Gilles of Cadott, WI; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grand-children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Matt in 1991; two brothers: Nickolaus and Andrew Schmitt; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Besides her great love for her family she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making quilts for the church bazaar. She will be deeply missed by her family.
