Degenhardt, Allen (6 July 1934 - 16 Dec. 1975)

Loyal - Rites for Allen Degenhardt, 41, Loyal, Town of Beaver, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Mr. Degenhardt was pronounced dead of an apparent heart attack upon arrival at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday.

Officiating will be the Rev. Chester J. Osowski, pastor. Internment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call today at the Rinka Funeral Home in Loyal, where the Parish Council of Catholic Women will recite a rosary at 3 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 8 tonight.

Mr. Degenhardt was born July 6, 1934, in Colby and received his education at the Loyal and Colby area schools. He worked for E-Z Kamper at Loyal in 1959 and since that time had worked part-time for area farmers.

He served with the U.S. Army in Korea from 1954 to 1956. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Mr. Degenhardt married the former Theresa Wolf on April 11, 1959, at St. Anthony’s. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Timothy, Michael and Nicholas, and four daughters, Cindy, Robin, Valeria and Sally, all at home; five brothers, Edward, Greenwood, Roman and Raymond, both of Loyal, James, Oak Creek, and Ronald, Freeport, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Edward (Eleanora) Bowman, Alma Center, Mrs. Leo (Jean) Verbrigghe, Milwaukee, Mrs. James (Carol) Whipple, Marshfield, and Mrs. Sylvester (Arlene) Rizzi, Spencer.

He was preceded in death by a brother and his parents.
