Milan News

Paul Ward, who has spent the winter with relatives in Florida, arrived here Wednesday and is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Brown.

Bert Wellman and family, Coswell, N.D., arrived here Wednesday to visit with his brother, Arthur Wellman and family and sister, Mrs. Albert Fasse and family.

The Milan Women’s club will meet at the home of Mrs. Carl Johnson on Thursday, June 18th. Mrs. A. C. Kallien will assist in serving.

Miss Geraldine Miller spent the week-end with her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lehman at Athens.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wogernese and Mrs. Robert Prentice visited with Wm. Hackel Jr. and Orville Koehn at the Marshfield hospital Sunday.

Jeanette Nehring and Elva Venzke attended the eighth grade graduation exercises at Wausau Thursday. Mrs. Mike Nehring accompanied them. The girls are graduates of the Milan school.

Franklin Laabs and family and father, William Laabs Sr., visited at the home of their brother, William Laabs and family, Sunday.

John Schrieber and daughter, Rosalind left for Whitewater, Tuesday. John Zell accompanied them as far as West Bend, where he will visit with his daughter, Mrs. Carl Goldamer, and family.

William Hackel and family and Mr. and Mrs. George Krupka spent Sunday with the former’s son, William Jr., at the Marshfield hospital.
