Schorer, Nellie (Marriage - 18 Aug. 1937)

Miss Nellie Schorer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schorer of Colby, and Mr. Lawrence Tlusty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Tlusty, were married August 18th at St. Anne Catholic church at Whittlesey, Rev. Gaetemueller officiating. Mrs. George Tlusty was maid of honor and Mrs. Ernest Tlusty was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his brothers, George and Ernest Tlusty.

The bride was attired in a white satin dress with long train and veil. The bridal dress with its long veil edged finger lase was arranged the width of the church aisle before entering the church by the groom’s aunt, Mrs. Cora Langteau. The bride’s bouquet consisted of roses, snapdragons and swansonia. The maid of honor wore a dress of green net with yellow ribbons and her corsage consisted of roses and swansonia. The bridesmaid wore a yellow taffeta formal and her corsage also consisted of roses and swansonia.

A reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents, the home being beautifully decorated with gladiolus and fall flowes. Meals were served to 500 relatives and friends. Relatives from out of town present were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Voelker of Chili, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Voelker of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. John Reinhardt of Rib Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schorer of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schorer of Abbotsford, Wis.

The newlyweds will make a trip to central and northern Canada and will be at home after August 29th in the town of Greenwood where the groom is employed as school teacher. The bride worked as a practical nurse at Chicago, Medford and Marshfield the past three years.
