Blodgett, Phyllis (Marriage - 12 Oct. 1938)

Miss Phyllis Blodgett, daughter of Mrs. Laura Blodgett, and Mr. Albert Zimbal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zimbal, Sr., were united in marriage at the Norwegian Lutheran parsonage in Curtiss Wednesday afternoon, October 12th, at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. Wm. Anderson officiating. Miss Lenora Schultz of Dorchester attended the bride as maid of honor and Miss Vivian Busch was bridesmaid. Norman Schiszek of Curtiss and Elmer Younkers of Dorchester attended the groom.

The bride was attired in a very becoming floor length gown of navy taffeta, blue suede slippers. Her shoulder bouquet consisted of pink roses and white chrysanthemums. The maid of honor wore a gown of nile green taftetta, floor length. Miss Busch wore a floor length gown of coral taffeta. Both attendants wore black suede slippers and shoulder bouquets of pink roses and white chrysanthemums.

Following the ceremony, a wedding reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zimbal, Sr. The home was nicely decorated with dahlias. A seven o’clock dinner was served. In the evening the young couple entertained a large group of friends at a wedding dance at Hinke’s hall.

The newlyweds are making their home with the groom’s parents.
