Lynch, Marion (Marriage - 24 June 1939)

Miss Marion Lynch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lynch of Winona, Minn., and Joseph Schommer, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Schommer of Colby, were married at St. Joseph’s Catholic church at Winona Saturday morning. Misses Betty and Margaret Lynch attended their sister and the groom was attended by his brother, Wendalin Schommer.

The bride selected for her wedding dress a white net gown with long train. With it she wore a long veil of tulle which was caught with sprays of lilies of the valley. She carried a large bouquet of lanreum lilies and lilies of the valley. Miss Betty as maid of honor was attired in Alice blue chiffon crepe and Miss Margaret wore a dainty frock of pink lace. Both carried bouquets composed of blue delphinium and tiny pink roses and also wore wreaths of the same flowers in their hair.

Following the ceremony a breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents for the wedding party and the parents of the bride and bridegroom. A large number of relatives and friends were guests at a supper served in the evening, among them being the bride’s grandfather, who is 95 years of age.

Mr. and Mrs. Schommer will reside at Winona where Mr. Schommer is employed.
