Egnoski, Esther A. (21 Apr. 1910 - 4 Aug. 2005)

Esther A. Egnoski, age 95, of Oshkosh, died Thursday evening, August 4, 2005, at Bethel Home. She was born in Unity, Wisconsin on April 21, 1910 to Arthur and Alvina (Johnson) Edblom. She married George Egnoski on July 17, 1937; they enjoyed 51 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1988.

Esther was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed golfing, reading and baking. She was known for her apple pies.

Esther is survived by her sons, Gary (Fay) Egnoski of Oshkosh and Dale (Jeanne) Egnoski of Beaver Dam; grandsons: Ty Egnoski, Craig (Alison) Egnoski, and Dale Arthur, the 2nd, (Holley) Egnoski all of Oshkosh; granddaughter: Jennifer Egnoski of Oshkosh; and great-grandchildren: Riley Allen and Emma Elizabeth Egnoski. She is further survived by sisters: Evelyn Alexander, Ethel Felker, Eleanor Mellenthin, Eileen Safemaster, and Gail (Amos) Mainard; brothers: Arlyn (Zona) Edblom, Alvin Edblom, and Alfred Edblom; brother-in-law: Lawrence (Lucille) Egnoski; sisters-in-law; Rose Egnoski, Elvera Egnoski, and Florence Edblom; and many nieces and nephews. Brothers: Arnold and Arthur Egnoski preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Esther will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, August 8, 2005, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, Reverend David F. Pagel officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home for a time of visitation and support from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial in Esther’s name is being established.

Esther’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Bethel Home for the comfort and care of Esther during her stay.
