Thede, Adeline (Marriage - 26 Aug. 1939)

Miss Adeline Thede, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Thede, and Mr. Hallie Harding, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Harding, were united in marriage Saturday, August 26th, at 1:30 P.M. at the Evangelical Reformed parsonage, Rev. S. J. Schmiechen performing the ceremony. Peggy Funke, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor and Mrs. LeRoy Thede was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his brother, Donald Harding, and LeRoy Thede, cousin of the bride.

The bride was attired in a charming gown of white satin, floor length, cut on princess lines, a high neck line and tiny buttons trimmed the back. Her floor length tulle veil, edged with lace, fell from a head dress of seed pearls, cap effect. Her bouquet consisted of white asters, red roses and baby breath. The maid of honor wore a dress of peach marquisette over taffeta with shoulder length veil to match with peach head band. Her shoulder bouquet consisted of roses, sweet peas and swansonia. The bridesmaid wore a dress of aqua marquisette over taffeta with shoulder length veil to match with aqua head band. Her shoulder bouquet consisted of roses, sweet peas and swansonia.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. A 5:00 o’clock supper and midnight lunch were served immediate relatives. The home was nicely decorated with gladiolas and peach, aqua and white streamers for the occasion. In the evening a free wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion which was largely attended by relatives and friends.

The young couple will be at home immediately on a farm at the bride’s home five miles northwest of Colby.
