Prehn, Harry John (18 Mar. 1887 - 28 Dec. 1953)

SPENCER - Harry John Prehn, 66, died at his home here last evening after an illness of long standing.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Harvey Schall in the Methodist Church here at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. The body will repose at the Swarthout Funeral Home from this evening until noon Thursday, when it will be removed to the church.

Mr. Prehn was born March 18, 1887, in Wausau and his parents came to Spencer when he was a year old. Before his marriage he was employed at a local store.

After his marriage to Alice C. Blake on Sept. 26, 1906. the couple moved to Milwaukee where Mr. Prehn was employed as a buyer in a department store. The couple returned to Spencer in 1930. During the past seven years Mr. Prehn conducted his own furniture repair and upholstering shop.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Donald Prehn, Spencer, and two grandchildren.

*** Note: Harry J. Prehn is buried in the West Spencer Cemetery, Sherman Twp. Clark County, Wis.
