Herman, Andrew & Mary (Gold - 28 JAN 1939)

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Herman celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Saturday, Jan. 28, 1939, when they renewed their marriage vows at a 9 o’clock ceremony mass at the St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church. The church was beautifully decorated with good accessories. The grandchildren, twins Adeline and Genevieve Wilcenski, lead the celebrants to the altar, while the children and other grandchildren followed. An appropriate good sermon was delivered by the parish pastor.

A six o’clock dinner was served to close relatives and friends. The following guests were present: Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Herman, Mr. and Mrs. Fr. Herman of Chicago; Clem Herman, Mendota, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Fr. Wilcenski and family, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Wilcenski and family, Gilman; Mr. and Mrs. James Boylan, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ebben and family, Mr. and Mrs. M. Zaborowski, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Herman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wichlacz, Mr. and Mrs. A. Stroinski, Mr. and Mrs. Pet Konwiski, Mr. and Mrs. John Navarro and family, Mrs. Rczerztowski, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Janicki and Mr. and Mrs. Art Natzke, of this surrounding community.
