Galbreath, Orie P. (12 Aug. 1897 - 4 Oct. 1942)

*Orie P. Galbreath, 45, Doland, S. D., died suddenly at a hospital at Redfield, S. D., of cerebral hemorrhage, at one a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4th. His death was entirely unexpected.

Funeral services were arranged for two p.m. Friday at the Schiller Funeral Home, the Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. Burial will be made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mr. Galbreath was born in Richland County, Wis., August 12, 1897, to Mr. and Mrs. John Galbreath. The father died on the 16th day of last August.

*Orrie Galbreath was married to Leona Labrie, of Doland, S. D., at St. Paul in 1920, having made his home in Doland since that time. His wife died Sept. 24, 1941.

Surviving are seven children: Leland, Leila, Merle, Marguerite, Gayland, Cleo, and Cecil, all of Doland. He is survived also by a brother, Glenn, Seattle and by the following half brothers and half sisters:

Mildred, Mrs. Oscar Ebert, Milburn, Earl, Bobbie, Miss Opal and Bural, all of Granton; Ada, Mrs. Arthur Opelt and Vera, Mrs. Howard Bowen, Neillsville; Vernon, Vesper and Genevieve, Mrs. Edward Hohman, Milwaukee.

The brother, Bobbie, 16, who was at his brother’s bedside until the end came, made all arrangements to have the body brought here. The sister, Mrs. Hohman, accompanied the body to Neillsville, Bobbie coming by car with other relatives.
