Orzechowski, Frances (24 JUN 1939)

On June 24, 1939 at 8. a.m. a very pretty wedding took place at St. Hedwig’s Church when Miss Frances Orzechowski, daughter of Mrs. Angeline Orzechowski of the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Mr. Casmir Tomczak, son of Mr. J. Tomczak of the town of Thorp.

The ceremony was performed by Father Thomas Adamiak.

The bride was beautifully dressed in a white satin gown with a long train, and a white coronet cap effect. She carried a bouquet of white gardenias, roses and baby breath.

The bridesmaids, Miss Harriet Orzechowski and Miss Ann Bonczkhowski, wore pink and nile green silk tulle dresses with short green veils and small flowered wreaths. They both carried bouquets of pink tea roses and baby breath.

The groom and his attendants, Vencil Tomczak and Frank Burzynski, wore black tuxedos. The groom wore a white gardenia boutonniere and the best man and usher wore boutonnieres of white carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother with abut a hundred guests attending. Music was furnished by the Nightingales.

Guests who attended the wedding were the Misses Harriet and Sophie Orzechowski, sisters of the bride, Miss Vauda Tomczak and Mrs. Stanley Tomczak, sister and brother of the grooms, Miss Mary Ziemba, Miss Florence Warchol and Mrs. Helen Roody, all of Chicago, and Vencil Tomczak, brother of the groom and George Hmikan of Detroit, Mich.
