Schmelzer, Evelyn (Marriage - 25 Mar. 1940)

Evelyn Schmelzer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schmelzer, and Herman Wiersig, son of Rudolph Wiersig, were united in marriage Monday, March 25th, at 8:15 P.M. at the Green Grove parsonage, Rev. M. C. Goetsch reading the marriage ceremony. Miss June Schmelzer was bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Norman Wiersig.

The bride was attired in a blue bell dress and her bouquet consisted of Easter lilies. The bridesmaid wore a dress of navy blue print.

A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with Easter lilies for the occasion.

The couple left on a wedding trip to Beaver Dam, Wis., and will be at home after April 5th on the Wm. Witte farm, Colby, Wis. The past two months, the groom had been employed at the Wiersig & Dins feed warehouse in Colby, Wis.
