Uhlig, Gorman (10 July 1918 - 5 Aug. 1941)

Funeral services for Gorman Uhlig of Curtiss were held at the Curtiss Lutheran church Friday afternoon and burial was made in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss, Wis. The deceased was born in the town of Mayville on July 10, 1918, and died at the Marshfield hospital on August 5th from an acute case of appendicitis, thus reaching the age of 23 years and 26 days. Pall bearers were Wm. Biel, John Doberstein, Emil Dallenbach, Oscar Koerner, Walter Leuth and Arnold Lindau.

He went to school at Curtiss, and, after graduation, stayed on the farm with his parents until his marriage to Miss Julia Pomputis of Longwood at Green Grove on July 29, 1939, when he was employed on the William Beil farm.

Surviving are his widow, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Uhlig and four brothers, William of Colby, George and Alvin of Abbotsford and Emil of Dorchester, Wis.
