Buettner, Agnes Irene (Marriage - 1 Sept. 1941)

Miss Agnes Irene Buettner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Buettner of Unity, and John O. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Haaken Johnson of Stanley pledged marriage vows before Rev. J. A. Olson at the flower decorated altar of the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity at high noon September 1st. Miss Theresa Marking of Owen, a cousin of the bridegroom, and Reuben Powers of Prarie du Chien attended the couple.

The bride wore a princess gown of white satin, the sweetheart neckline of which was accented by a gold locket, a gift of the bridegroom. Her lace-edged tulle veil fell to finger-tip length from a seed pearl coronet and she carried a shower bouquet of pink and white roses and white asters. Miss Marking wore a period gown of blue taffeta and a gold and seed pearl cross and carried blue delphinium and asters.

A dinner was served at the Hotel Robinson in Colby, Wis. Covers were laid for 26.

The couple will reside in Stanley.
