Korntved, Margaret #2 (7 Mar. 1855 - 20 Sept. 1941)

Mrs. Margaret Korntved, age 86, a resident of Marathon county, Wis., for 64 years and the widow of Andrew Korntved, died Saturday afternoon at 4:20 o’clock at the home of her son, Peter Korntved, in the town of Brighton. She made her home with her son the past several months after living in Unity for many years.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity, the Rev. J. A. Olson officiating. Burial followed in the town of Brighton cemetery.

Born in Denmark March 7, 1855, Mrs. Korntved came to the United States in 1874. She married Mr. Korntved April 10, 1875, in Oxford, N.J., and two years later the couple came to Marathon county. Mr. Korntved, an employee of lumber companies in the vicinity of Romeo, town of Brighton, died in 1905. Survivors are six sons, Peter Korntved, Soren Korntved, Greenwood; Christian Korntved, Grand Marais, Minn., Anton and John Korntved, Unity, and George Korntved, Abbotsford; 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
