Eggebrecht, Bertha (3 Mar. 1872 - 9 Dec. 1941)

Mrs. Harry Eggebrecht passed away Tuesday night at her farm home in the town of Hull, Wood Co., Wis. Funeral services will be held at the Lulloff funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2:00 P.M., Rev. A. C. Riley officiating. The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home Thursday and Friday nights.

Bertha Heintz was born March 3, 1872, in Fond du Lac. She accompanied her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Heintz to the town of Hull in 1887. Since her marriage November 2, 1890, at Colby to Mr. Eggebrecht, she and her husband have made their home on a farm in that town. She died after a few day’s illness after a paralytic stroke.

Surviving are the widower, two children, Carl Eggebrecht, Marshfield, and Irvin Eggebrecht, town of Hull, four brothers, Harry Heintz, Milwaukee, Louis Heintz, who lives in Upper Michigan, and Max and Otto Heintz, town of Hull; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Cutts, Unity, and Mrs. Julius Garnett, Sheboygan; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Eggebrecht, whose death was reported last week, were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home Saturday afternoon, Rev. A. C. Riley officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were Carl Reyer, Wm. Graumann, John Schneider, Rudolph Wiersig, George Miller, and Dean Rein. Those in charge of the flowers were Lorraine Wolk, Loretta Stettler, Mae Fricke and Arlyle Sachse.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eggebrecht, Genevieve and Dale Eggebrecht, Mrs. Ignace Aschenbrenner, Mrs. Ed. St. Dennis, Mrs. Anna Eggebrecht, Mrs. Ella Knox and William Eggebrecht, all of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cutts and Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Cutts of Unity, Laverne Cutts of Christie, Mrs. N. Cornell of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Patterson, Mrs. Bernice Patterson of Medford, Geo. Meier of Dorchester, Wis., William Meier of Neenah, Mrs. Louise McHugh of Stevens Point and Henry Eggebrecht of Frankfort.

The deceased was a good Christian, industrious and honest in all her undertakings, and, like all early pioneers, was of a congenial and neighborly disposition. She will be missed by all who knew her.
