Adams, Theodore N. (27 AUG 1877 - 24 APR 1940)

Theodore Nelson Adams, son of Joseph Hines and Edna L. Sheldon, was born Aug. 27, 1877, at Beaver Creek, Minn., and passed away at his home in Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.) on Wednesday, April 24, 1940. The cause of his death being plural pneumonia.

Theodore Adams was educated in the public schools of Beaver Creek and was a graduate of the school of agriculture at the University of Minnesota in 1901. He followed the buttermaking trade until 1916 and then engaged in farming at which he was still active until the time of his death.

He was united in marriage to Mable Kilpatrick on June 24, 1908. To this union were born four children, Elizabeth, deceased; Marion, Joseph S. and Julia. When a young man he united with the First Presbyterian Church of Luverne, Minn., and at the time of his death he was an active member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance at Owen, Wisconsin.

He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife, and three children, Marion, Joseph S. and Julia, all at home; two brothers, Leon R., Sheridan, Wyo., and B. Harry, Glasgow, Mont.; two sisters, Miss Bertha M., Luverne, Minn. And Mrs. Effie Adams Frisby, Red Lake, Minn., and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted April 27 at two o’clock from the Griebenow Funeral Home with Rev. J.H. Rostad officiating, and interment was made in the Greenwood (Clark Co.) Cemetery. Rev. and Mrs. Rostad rendered the following selections, "God’s Way Is the Best Way," Shadows", and "No Night There."

Pallbearers at the service were Jesse Capes, Glen Ivey, Ed Missling, Charles Haas, Fern Harms and Julius Johnson. Marjorie Capes, Bernice Wendt and Harriett Harms were in charge of the flowers.

Those from out of town who attended the services were Miss Bertha Adams of Luverne, Minn.; Harry Adams of Glasgow, Mont.; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Frisby of Red Lake, Minn.; Mrs. Otto Mark of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Capes of Unity, Wis.
