Schoenman, Richard E. (24 May 1857 - 15 Sept. 1942)

Richard E. Schoenman died at the home of his grand daughter, Mrs. Rudy Haderlein, at Milan on Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, at the age of 85 years, complications of old age being the cause of his death. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran church at Curtiss, Rev. M. C. Goetsch officiating, and internment will be made in the Pine Hill cemetery. Pall bearers will be Fred Machlett, Fred Thiem, Fred Laabs, Frank Tonn, John Handerlein and Paul Benzman.

The deceased was born in Germany on May 24th, 1857, and came to this country in 1896 and settled on a farm two and one-half miles north of Curtiss in the town of Hoard. He retired in 1924 and moved to the village of Curtiss, Wis. In 1930 he went to live with his grand daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Haderlein at Milan.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lena Kisten of Kenosha and Mrs. Ida Edwards of Medford.
