Meeks, Bertha F. (23 SEP 1885 - 16 APR 1927)

Bertha Frances Paulley was born Sept. 23, 1885. On May 24, 1905 she was united in marriage to Earl Meeks. She died at Park Falls, Wis., April 16, 1927, having reached the age of 41 years, 6 months and 23 days.

Funeral services were held at Park Falls Easter Sunday afternoon at four o’clock, Rev. Schoenfeldt officiating.

The body was brought to Greenwood Monday and funeral services were held from the M.E. Church, Rev. Householder officiating. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Earl Meeks and children and Mrs. Coolie of Park Falls, accompanied the body to Greenwood, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Meeks was a woman of rare character, being of a reserved and conservative disposition, a sincere and earnest Christian and faithful friend and mother.

Those left to mourn are her husband, two sons, Lloyd and Jesse, three daughters, Sylvia, Bernoca and Ruth, her father, John Paulley, two sisters, Mrs. Mace Poulton of Hobart, Ind., and Mrs. Ira Leach, and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Those from out of town who were here to attend the funeral were R.M. Pratt and family, Mrs. Prior, Mrs. Leatherdale and Mrs. O.D. Poulton and son of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pratt of Cataract, Mrs. Denny, Mrs. Graves and Mrs. Laura Winker of Stevens Point, Mrs. Wm. Rogers of Wis. Rapids and Mrs. Carl Simerson of Pittsville.
