Kovaloski, Stella (11 NOV 1940)

A lovely church wedding was solemnized Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Church, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), when Miss Stella Kovaloski of Thorp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kovaloski of Owen, and Charles Heimerl of St. Paul Park, Minn., exchanged the holy vows of matrimony. The Rev. Charles E. Brady conducted the service.

The bride wore a sun tan horizon suit with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of yellow tea roses and baby breath. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Mayland Malinowski of Thorp, who was attired in a gown of navy blue and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and baby breath.

A breakfast anc reception followed the service at the home of the bride’s parents. A dinner for the immediate relatives and friends of the couple was served at the Woodland Hotel.

The bride is a graduate of the Owen High School graduating with the class of 1932, and in 1934 graduated from the Lee Beauty Culture School in St. Paul. For the past couple of years she has owned and operated a beauty shop in Thorp.

The groom graduated from the Withee High School in 1928. He is also a graduate of the Wausau Business Institute. He served as an office employee for a long time at the Owen Canning Co. and is now office manager of the Northwest Refining and Petroleum Co. at St. Paul Park, Minn.

The couple left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee and Chicago where they plan on visiting with friends and relatives before returning to St. Paul Park, Minn., where they will make their home.

Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. George Heimerl and family of Medford; Frank Heimerl of Phillips; Mrs. Charlotte Scherf, Floyd Scherf, Miss Natalie Scherf, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scherf and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Sabin Scherf of Withee; Mrs. Agnes Kovaloski and Mr. and Mrs. Mayland Malinowski of Thorp.
