Leichtnam, Gorman G. (18 Mar. 1896 - 23 Feb. 1947)

Gorman G. Leichtnam, age 50, a resident of Abbotsford since 1928, and a veteran of World War I, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at his home Sunday at 3:20 p.m. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, at the Zink funeral home at Abbotsford and at 2:30 o’clock at the First Ev. Lutheran church, Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating, and internment will be made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Gorman G. Leichtnam, son of the late Joseph and Mary Leichtnam, was born in Clark county on March 18, 1896, and was married to Cecelia Theirbach on April 20, 1920. After his marriage, he was on the Leichtnam farm, northwest of Colby, until he moved to Abbotsford, Wisconsin. For the past three years, he was employed at the Northland Henneries in Abbotsford, Wisconsin. He served in France during World War I.

Surviving are his widow; seven children, Donald of Abbotsford, Mrs. Marvin (Betty) Lange of Medford and Byron, Margaret, Jackie, Donna and Bonnie, at home; one grand daughter, Carol Ann Lange of Medford; a brother, Herbert Leichtnam of Fond du Lac; and three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Strebe of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Warren Gilland and Mrs. Sylvia Jerald of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
