Shoup, Katy Jo (Marriage - May 25, 2007)

Katy Jo Shoup and Justin M. Peters were united in marriage on May 25th, 2007, at Powell Gardens in Kingsville, Missouri, with Pastor Daniel Wiehmer officiating. A small reception was held for the couple in a café of the gardens following the ceremony. On June 2nd, a reception was held in Neillsville at the American Legion Hall for other family and friends in the area.

Parents of the couple are Betsy and Brent Shoup, of Neillsville, and Deb and Mike Peters, of Gardner, Kansas.

Laura Shoup, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Best man was the brother of the groom, Stephan Peters. Others in the bridal party were Karen England and Lindsey Barrette, friends of the bride, and Josh Smith and Josh Hendrickson, friends of the groom.

The bride wore an a-line style dress of chiffon and a shoulder length veil with beaded trim. The bridesmaids wore strapless tea length dresses of green, blue and yellow pastels. They carried bouquets of roses and daisies.

Katy is a 2007 graduate of Viterbo University in La Crosse, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Justin is a 2002 graduate of Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. They are both employed in Overland Park, the bride at Shawnee Mission Medical Center as a Registered Nurse and the groom at Valley View Bank.

The couple has made their home in Overland Park, Kansas.
