Van Dreel, Ludmilla Ann (Marriage - 4 Sept. 1948)

Miss Ludmilla Van Dreel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Dreel, town of Hull, and Louis Steven Klonowski, son of Anton Klonowski, Wisconsin Rapids, were united in marriage last Sunday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wisconsin. The Rev. N. B. Beschta officiated at the double-ring ceremony and celebrated the nuptial high mass.

Miss Donna Jean Van Dreel was her sister’s maid of honor and Floyd Van Dreel, the bride’s brother, served as best man. James Sazama and Carl Schilling ushered.

The bride wore a gown of white satin, with ninon yoke and peplum edged with lace and rhinestones with full entrained skirt and long sleeves. Her finger-tip veil was fastened to a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a crystal rosary, gift of the groom, and a bouquet of white gladioli, and baby mums.

The bridesmaid wore a gown of lime green ninon fashioned with full skirt, embroidered trim, a Peter Pan collar, and gloves and bonnet to match. Her bouquet was of leylow gladioli and bachelor buttons, and she wore a rhinestone necklace, gift of the bride.

Dinner was served to the immediate families in St. Mary’s gymnasium and a reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride has been employed at the Kroger company in Wisconsin Rapids for the past three years and the groom is employed at the Consolidated Water Power and Paper Company. They will reside in Wisconsin Rapids following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin.

For her going away costume, the bride chose a two-piece slate blue jacket dress with black accessories.
