Gotter, Darlene Dawn (Marriage - 2 Feb. 1952)

Darlene Dawn Gotter, daughter of Mrs. Elsie Gotter of Loyal, and Vernon Harold Kasper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harbey Kasper of Colby, exchanged marriage vows in the Trinity Lutheran church at Loyal Saturday, Feb. 2, at 1:30 P.M., Rev. Aulto reading the marriage ceremony. Mrs. Norman Kasper of Spencer was matron of honor and Mrs. Elmer Gotter, Jr., of Loyal and Miss Donna Mae Gotter of Milwaukee were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by his brother, Norman Kasper, as best man and Elmer Gotter, Jr., of Loyal, the bride’s brother, and Kenneth Kasper of Unity, the groom’s cousin, were groomsmen.

The bride was attired in a slipper satin gown with fitted bodice, ninon yoke, long lace ruffle trim sleeves. Her skirt was gathered from a pointed bodice and her fingertip veil was held in place with a beaded headband of rhinestones. Her bouquet consisted of roses and white lilies. The matron of honor wore a nile green slipper satin dress with lace puffed sleeves and collar, fitted bodice and flare skirt. Her bouquet consisted of gold carnations. The bridesmaids wore similar styled slipper satin dresses in gold and old rose, respectively, with pointed collars on ninon, yolk lace ruffle, gathered skirts from fitted bodice. Their bouquets consisted of green carnations.

A reception was held in the basement of Braun’s Bowling of Loyal. After a wedding trip throughout Wisconsin, the couple will be at home after February 6th where the groom is employed by his father on a farm.

People attending the wedding were from Colby, Loyal, Medford, Granton, Spencer, Unity, Augusta, Oshkosh, Hilbert, Collins and New Holstein.
