Columbia - Mrs. William Sollberger

Miss Theo Jonkel left Saturday morning for Chicago, where she is visiting with relatives.

Miss Clarice Winter, who has been employed in an Eau Claire defense plat since spring, has returned to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Winter. The defense plant has closed and the building will be re-opened soon for the production of synthetic rubber.

Sunny Nook school will close Friday, December 24, for one week of vacation.

L. L. Sherman of Merrillan visited at the John and William Sollberger homes Sunday afternoon.

Bad colds and influenza are being entertained in nearly every home in the community. There has been very poor attendance at the Sunny Nook School the past two weeks, due to illness.
