Curtiss, Wis. - Sept. 10, 1953

The Ladies’ Aid of the Ev. Lutheran church will meet on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the parish hall. Mrs. Albert Bakke and Mrs. Theo. Thompson will serve.

Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick left Friday on a two weeks’ trip with their sons, Grant Herrick, Jr., at Beaver and Kenneth Herrick at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Cameron Smith of Neenah spent the week-end with his mother, Mrs. Martha Harmel.

Labor Day week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Kraut were his brothers-in-law and sisters, Mr. and Mrs. William Zuelke and daughter of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. J. Cattanach of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

Miss Marion Frane, who is employed in Milwaukee, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Frane.

Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Braithwaite were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Johnson of Chicago, Illinois and brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Pescke of Wausau, Wisconsin.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Smiley, Mrs. Minnie Green and Miss May Skidmore attended the funeral of Mrs. Bob Green’s mother at La Crosse, Wisconsin Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hoff and children of Wausau spent Labor Day with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hoff, at their cottage at Lake Sackett.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Matthias and son of Ashland spent the week-end with their mother, Mrs. Frank Matthias.

Mrs. Augusta Stacke returned home Wednesday from a six weeks trip to the west coast where she visited relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stockmeyer of La Crosse spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stockmeyer.

Mrs. Harold Tonn left Sunday for Orleans, Neb., where she was called by the serious illness of her father.
