A son, Jaydon N. Shirk, was born Jan. 7, 2007, at home, to Pauline and Leon Shirk of Owen. He joins a sister, Lucille, and three brothers, Galen, Leondale and Randall. Grandparents are Vera Newswanger of Goodville, Pa., and the late Pharis Newswanger; and Ivan and Anna Shirk of New Holland, Pa.
