Haugen, Alma (7 JUN 1941)

Miss Alma Haugen of Stanley and Martin Johnson of Stillwater, were united in marriage at 7:15 on Saturday, June 7, 1941, at the Swedish Lutheran Church at Stillwater, Minn., Rev. C.E. Benson performed the ceremony.

The bride wore a gown of navy blue silk net and white accessories and a corsage of Talisman roses. They were attended by the groom’s brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Johnson of Stillwater. Mrs. Jonson wore a dusty rose silk crepe with white accessories and a corsage of roses. The men wore dark suits with rose boutonnieres. A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Johnson for near relatives and friends.

The bride and groom left for a month’s honeymoon trip through Montana, and upon their return they will live on the farm south of Stanley, known as the Severson farm.

Miss Alice Haugen, R.N., of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Selmer Samuelson, Misses Selma and Hilda Haugen, were in attendance at the wedding.
