Warden, Olive (24 JUN 1941)

A beautiful wedding was solemnized at three o’clock on Tuesday afternoon, June 24, 1941, at the First Presbyterian Church of Stanley, when Miss Olive Warden, daughter of Mrs. Martha Warden, became the bride of Bertel Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Miller of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.). The altar was decorated with delphiniums and fox-gloves in tall baskets. The pews were marked with colonial bouquets and white ribbon.

Miss Betty Jean Isenberger presided at the organ and accompanied Warden Isenberger who sang, "Because" and " I Love You Truly." "Meditation" was softly played during the ceremony by Rev. George E. Griffiths of Iron River, Wis.

The bride was gowned in a floor-length shel pink chiffon and lace dress and carried a shower bouquet of Rapture roses and swansonia, and wore a headband of Rapture rosebuds. She entered the church to the strains of Lohengrin’s Bridal Chorus.

Miss Stella Jane Warden, sister of the bride, was her only attendant, and was gowned in a floor-length heavenly blue dress of chiffon and lace, and carried a round bouquet of mixed flowers.

The groom was attended by his brother, Clarence Miller. The men wore dark suits and had white carnation boutonnieres.

The ushers were Lyle Stair, brother-in-law of the bride, and Guy Warden, brother of the bride.

After the ceremony, a reception was held for immediate relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s mother.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Guy S. Warden and Marjorie Holman of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle O. Stair, Osseo, Rev. and Mrs. Geo. E. Griffiths, Iron River, Mr. and Mrs. Niels Stockholm, Wis. Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Helsene, Webster, Mr. and Mrs. V….(the rest of my copy was cut off)
