Griepentrog, Adelheid (21 Apr. 1902 - 11 May 1978)
Spencer, Wis. - Mrs. Adelheid Griepentrog, 76, formerly of Spencer, died Thursday at Colonial House of Colby where she had been a resident for four years.
Services are set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer, the Rev. William H. Ruhbusch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rux Funeral Home in Spencer, Wis.
The former Adelheid Wellman was born April 21, 1902 in Kenosha. She was married to Frederick Griepentrog Sept. 3, 1924 in Riplinger. They farmed on Route 1, Spencer, until 1954 when they moved to the city of Spencer, Wis. Mr. Griepentrog died in 1966.
Mrs. Griepentrog was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.
Surviving are two sons, Donald and Eugene, both of Spencer; one daughter, Mrs. James (Caroline) Greenwald, Spencer; two stepsons, Elmer Griepentrog and Raymond Griepentrog, both of rural Spencer; 27 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Elmer of Colby, Walter, Fond du Lac; Gerhardt of Oshkosh and Herbert, Marshfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Otto (Edna) Kett, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Harvey (Hilda) Koch, Wausau.
She was predeceased by her husband, one son, two grandchildren and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wellman.
