Griepentrog, Karl (13 Jan. 1878 - 31 July 1963)

Spencer, Wis. - Karl (Charles) Griepentrog, 85, of Spencer, died at his home Wednesday evening.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. W. R. Krueger officiating. Burial will be made in the West Spencer cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Jasperson Funeral Home beginning Friday noon until time of services.

Mr. Griepentrog was born Jan. 13, 1878 in Ironridge, Wis. He came with his parents to Spencer as a child and had lived here his entire life. He was married in 1906 to Anna Schwantes at Spencer, Wis. The couple operated a farm in the town of Brighton for 48 years and then moved to Spencer, Wis.

Mr. Griepentrog is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Siegert (Lydia) Nelson, Stevens Point; Mrs. John (Linda) Miller, Abbotsford; a son, Darel and a brother, Fred of Spencer; 10 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and two sisters.
