Schwierske, Frederick H. Mrs. (27 Feb. 1924 - 29 Dec. 1953)

Funeral services for Mrs. Frederick H. Schwierske, age 29, whose death was chronicled last week, were held in Zion Lutheran church Saturday afternoon, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Ervin Kademan, Milford Frome, Junior Tesmer, Milbert Singstock, Herbert Hederer and Arnold Strathmann.

Mrs. Schwierske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hayes, was born in Cudahy on February 27, 1924. She was married on June 19, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She died Tuesday evening at 6:15 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee, multiple sclerosis, of three years and one month duration, being the cause of her death. She was a primary school teacher in Stevens Point from 1945 to 1947. For several years prior to her illness she lived in Dorchester where Mr. Schwierske is a member of the high school faculty.

Surviving are her husband, two children, Rebecca, age four, and Frederick, Jr., age 3, and her parents.

Mrs. Schwierske visited in Colby quite often and made many friends here who will remember her for her bright, happy and cheerful disposition. Her memory will serve as a balm for wounded hearts.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bartholomew and son, John, of Iowa City, Iowa, Mrs. Bill Lind of Fenimore, Mr. and Mrs. LaFayette Adams of Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Adams of Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Kuentz of Madison and Mr. and Mrs. William Turner and Mrs. Gordon Moquin of Phillips.
