Goldamer, Meta Marie (22 May 1888 - 12 July 1954)
Mrs. Alvin R. Goldamer of Abbotsford, Wisconsin died at 7:50 o’clock Monday morning at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital, where she had been a patient intermittently since July 2, at the age of 66 years. She had been in ill health the past eight months. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Christ Lutheran church in Abbotsford, Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating, and burial will be made in the Abbotsford cemetery.
Mrs. Goldamer, nee Meta Marie Franz, was born on May 22, 1888, in Lomira, Dodge County, and moved onto a farm near Colby with her parents when she was a child. On May 21, 1908, she married Alvin Goldamer at Colby, Wis. About 42 years ago, the couple moved to Abbotsford, Wis.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Ardyce) Cornelius of Marshfield, Mrs. Harold (Audrey) Christensen and Mrs. Howard (Elaine) Speck of Abbotsford; one son, Robert Goldamer of Abbotsford; her father, Gustav Franz of Colby; a sister, Mrs. Carl Sabler of Colby; two brothers, Albert and Henry Franz of Colby; and seven grand children. Her mother and a sister preceded her in death.
