Zwolinski, Mary (9 DEC 1859 - 21 OCT 1941)

Funeral services were conducted at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock Saturday morning for Mrs. Mary Zwolinski who passed away at her home in the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 21st, 1941. Father F.A. Kulig, Father Thaddeus Sczerbicki and Father Jos. Rapala officiated. The deceased had reached the age of 81 years, 10 months and 12 days.

Mary Kobacwecki was born in Poland on Dec. 9, 1859. She was married there in 1881 to John Zwolinski and in 1886 they came to the United States, residing in Baltimore, Md., Wheeling, West Virginia, and Ohio before locating in Thorp in 1892. Here she spent the remainder of her days, residing with her son, Julius at the time of her death.

She is survived by three sons, Leon of Milwaukee, Julius of Thorp, and Walter of Detroit; two daughters, Edna, Mrs. Joe Kiel of Mizpah, Mont., and Catherine, Mrs. Edward Pyzacha of Jewett City, Conn., one brother Adam, and one sister, Edna, in Poland. Preceding her in death were her husband, who died in 1923, and two sons, Joseph in 1918 and Adam in 1935.

She was a member of St. Hedwig’s Rosary Society which attended the funeral in a body.

The remains were laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, the following acting as pallbearers: Mike Moczadlo, Anton Sobolewski, Joe Kobylarczyk, Kaz. Sobolewski, John Balcer and John Sumiec.
